Q: What are the benefits of V2?

 Flexibility: SafeMoon will be able to utilize the smart contract within the SafeMoon ecosystem more freely by way of "whitelisting" specific contracts to adjust the fees from 10% to 2% (such as for commerce uses). This will also give the company ability to integrate more products that can utilize SafeMoon as the fuel for such products.

●  Enhanced security: SafeMoon can be more "reactive" to threats that interact with its smart contract because of the ability to blacklist.

●  Rate drop for all ecosystem products: Because of the ability to whitelist specific contracts, this means SafeMoon will be able to drop the 10% buy/sell tax rate to a 2% rate for all whitelisted contracts. This enables users to utilize SafeMoon as a "utility token" rather than just a holding token.

●  Increased volume: Safemoon project increased volume for the V2 token because of the lower rates that can be offered.

●  Autonomy: V2 upgrade will allow SafeMoon more autonomy and control over their liquidity pool and the ability to add more pairing options within their ecosystem.

Q: How do I prepare for the migration?

 Before any swap can take place on any wallet (or on the web), the holder will need to ensure they have the proper amount of BNB (Binance Smart Chain native token) in their wallet. Typically the amount is $4-$5 in BNB fees for a swap to be successful, although this may vary. This is a blockchain-mandated fee and not something SafeMoon can control.

Q: Will I be charged to migrate? Will I have to pay the 10% / 2% / 100% fee to migrate?

 No, you will not be charged by SafeMoon to migrate. 

The tax rate of V1 has been changed a few times to aid the migration process. It is now set at 100% And V1 should no longer be used in any capacity. 

As your tokens are swapped, the SafeMoon V2 contract will issue you more V2 tokens in order to make up for the % SafeMoon fee that was originally accrued from the V2 Buy/Sell order.

Q: How do I migrate using the SafeMoon mobile app?

 

●  Step 1: Download the latest version of the SafeMoon Wallet app from the App Store or Google Play Store.

●  Step 2: Make sure you have enough BNB in your wallet to cover gas fees - the equivalent of about $5 should be enough but this may vary. This is standard for all transactions to be completed and not charged by SafeMoon.

●  Step 3: Click the Consolidate button on the SafeMoon Wallet. The V2 contract address will be automatically preloaded to the app.

Q: How do I migrate if I use another wallet app that is not the SafeMoon one?

●  Step 4: Click the Consolidate button and the V1 and V2 contracts will be automatically populated to prevent mistakes. You will be able to connect Trust Wallet, MetaMask, Binance Chain Wallet or MathWallet to the web swap to perform the migration. If your wallet supports the Wallet Connect dapp, you can also swap using the Wallet Connect feature.

 Q: How do I migrate to V2 if I am on an exchange?

Each individual exchange is responsible for supporting its users in the migration. SafeMoon is currently working with them to enable the upgrade – more to come on that soon.

 Q: What will happen if I don’t migrate?

We will be leaving the opportunity open for holders to migrate over to V2 for a considerable amount of time. However, because of the nature of the crypto market and the propensity of mistakes that can happen when new users search SafeMoon to invest, many will unwittingly invest in SafeMoon V1 thinking they are investing in the upgraded version. So it is important that we allow our holders enough time to migrate over but limit the risk exposure as much as we can to new holders interested in the SafeMoon token. There will be a deadline but it is not currently set and will be reviewed over time.

Q:Can I migrate to V2 if I have pSafeMoon?

We will not support migration from pSafeMoon to SafeMoon V2 on initial launch due to pSafeMoon not incurring a 10% fee to purchase and the fact that it exists on the Ethereum chain. However, we are writing migration contracts to consolidate pSafeMoon in the exact same way we built for SafeMoon on the BSC Smart chain. This will become available soon!
